About Us
Samaritan Public School started on 26th May-2007.It is an English Medium School for all the poor children for all the communities.A labyrinth of dusty, congested, bustling lanes leads to an old building, now restored and painted in white, on Bankra Kabarpara Howrah in West Bengal. Under the umbrella of Illiteracy Elimination project, it is especially aimed at girls who are deprived of the basic right of education. The parents of the children are very poor because of which, they cannot get access to modern education.
It offers English-medium education to more than 1,500 students who come from impoverished families. Samaritan Mission school is an organization that aims at providing developmental opportunities to the poor and needy slum children. The children range from various underprivileged backgrounds like rickshaw pullers, daily laborers, etc. With Samaritan Help Mission’s efforts, their dreams have turned into reality.
The school was run from Nursery to class VII till 2009, and since then, every year has witnessed its expansion with one more class. The school got its WBBSE affiliation in 2016.
Along with this, Samaritan Mission School has also introduced many varied ventures to further improve the lifestyles of the poor by giving them opportunities that are not currently available to them. The school allow them more liberty to become independent and self-sufficient, giving them a true chance at establishing an identity for themselves.
